	The OCTOPUS Multi-Room Entertainment System is based on A-BUS technology and commonly available Cat 5e/6 and coaxial cabling. OCTOPUS Multi-Room delivers audio and video throughout a home from a central location. In every room, keypads and remote controls respectively provide simple and sophisticated access to and control over the system.
	Features Extremely simple installation, with just a single run of Cat5e cable per zone. Video switching functionality available with VSU300 and one run of RG6 co-axial cable per zone. 6 audio source inputs 6 composite video inputs (with VSU300) High-fidelity ceiling speakers and active speaker (AMR650) options Distribution to 4 main zones per MCU Additional facility of 4 sub-zones per MCU Stylish and intuitive wall-mounted control panels (WCU310) available in white and stainless steel Remote operation possible with system remote control (SRC300). 		MCU300 Master Control Unit The revolutionary new OCTOPUS Multi-Room Entertainment System by Opus Technologies delivers new standards to multi-room audio at a more affordable price than ever before. Capable of accessing any of 6 available audio sources (CD player, tuner etc.), the MCU300 then distributes any source to any or all of 4 distinct main zones around the house simultaneously, using only one run of Cat5 UTP or Cat6 cable per zone. Furthermore, for every main zone, the MCU300 supports an additional sub-zone which is ideal for en-suite bathrooms, conservatories etc. Loop outputs for all 6 audio sources are provided, enabling integration with an existing hi-fi, or home theatre system. For larger installations requiring more than 4 main zones and 4 sub-zones, a hub-link facility is provided enabling up to 4 MCU300's to be "chained" together providing for up to 32 zones (16 main zones and 16 sub-zones).
		VSU300 Video Switching Unit Designed to work with the OCTOPUS MCU300 multi-source hub, the OCTOPUS VSU300 Video Switching Unit adds full audio-visual switching capability to the OCTOPUS Multi-Room Entertainment System. The 6 composite video inputs correspond to the audio inputs on the attached MCU, and can be distributed to the 4 main zones plus 4 subzones around the house. When an audio source is selected in any zone via the WCU310 wall-mounted control panel, the VSU300 automatically routes the corresponding video signal to the same zone. Loop outputs for all 6 video sources are provided, enabling integration with an existing hi-fi or home theatre system.
		WCU310EU-WH Wall Control Keypad (white) The WCU310EU is a stylish control keypad for the OCTOPUS Multi-Room Entertainment System. Working on the A-BUST standard, installation is extremely simple with just one Cat5 UTP or Cat6 cable connection needed to the hub and standard speaker cable to the loudspeakers. Remarkably, amplification for the speakers is built into the WCU310EU and a pre-amp output is even provided for driving external amplifiers or a powered sub-woofer if required. To suit the needs of your home and each room, the fascia style may be changed by removing the "Easy-clip" faceplate, and replacing it with one of the many styles and finishes commonly available from MK and others. A white faceplate with no visible fixings is supplied.
		WCU310EU-ST Wall Control Keypad (stainless steel) The WCU310EU is a stylish control keypad for the OCTOPUS Multi-Room Entertainment System. Working on the A-BUST standard, installation is extremely simple with just one Cat5 UTP or Cat6 cable connection needed to the hub and standard speaker cable to the loudspeakers. Remarkably, amplification for the speakers is built into the WCU310EU and a pre-amp output is even provided for driving external amplifiers or a powered sub-woofer if required. Supplied with a thinline stainless steel faceplate, the keypad's sleek brushed finish not only complements many contemporary room styles, but is also extremely durable.
		SRC300 System Remote Control Housed in an attractive silver casing, and giving full access to the functions of the OCTOPUS Multi-Room Entertainment System, the OCTOPUS SRC300 System Remote Control allows the functions of the OCTOPUS WCU310 Wall Control Keypad to be carried out at a distance. The SRC300 provides dedicated buttons for Tuner, CD, DVD, and 3 additional inputs, as well as Local and CCTV inputs, giving instant access with just one button push. A Select button allows access to the menu structure with controls for bass, treble, balance etc. A mute button allows a single zone to be muted at will, and at the end of the day, the "All Off" button shuts down the whole OCTOPUS Multi-Room System.
		LRC300 Learning Remote Control The OCTOPUS LRC300 Learning Remote Control is designed specifically for use with the OCTOPUS Multi-Room Entertainment System. By using the LRC300, users can enjoy sophisticated functionality from their OCTOPUS system above and beyond that offered by the OCTOPUS WCU310 Wall Control Keypad and OCTOPUS SRC300 System Remote Control. The LRC300 not only offers hard-coded buttons to control the OCTOPUS system but also allows source equipment connected to the system to be controlled. A single LRC300 can control all local settings such as volume, source and bass/treble as well as all source settings such as play, stop and track/station selection etc.
		CS165CC Ceiling Mounted Speakers The OCTOPUS CS165CC Speakers deliver a well-rounded, clear and warm audio experience which will fill any room. Optimised for custom installation, the CS165CC drive unit and crossover are designed to take into account the angles, frequencies and energy distribution characteristics of in-ceiling applications. With a grille which may be painted, and extremely low profile, the CS165CC blends seamlessly into any room allowing you to enjoy perfect discreet audio.
		AMR650 Ceiling Mounted Active Speaker Pair OPUS breaks new ground in the multi-room entertainment market, with the revolutionary AMR650 A-BUS Active Speaker System. Consisting of a matched pair of high-quality ceiling speakers which are optimised for custom installation and in-ceiling applications, the AMR650 features a wide-angle infra red eye mounted on the 'active' speaker which has all the amplifier electronics actually mounted on its back. This allows full access to volume, tone settings, and source selection controls by using the system or learning remote control. This eliminates the need for a wall control keypad and therefore makes an OCTOPUS Multi-Room Entertainment System even easier to install, particularly in a 'retro-fit' situation. When settings are being adjusted, small confirmation beeps are issued so the user knows that adjustments are being made. The active speaker contains a built-in stereo power amplifier which drives both itself and its passive twin. A pre-amp output is even included for connection to an active sub-woofer or separately powered pair of speakers if desired. The AMR650 A-BUST active speaker is connected to the OCTOPUS Master Control Unit using Cat5e UTP or CAT6 cable, providing source signals, IR pass-through, switching commands and power for the amplifier. The passive speaker is connected to its active twin via either loudspeaker cable or another Cat5e UTP or CAT6.
		C39 Video Coupler Where video switching functionality is added to the audio functionality of an OCTOPUS Multi-Room Entertainment System, VSUs may be linked using the OCTOPUS C39 Video Couplers to provide video switching in more than four rooms. Made from smart, durable black plastic with gold-plated phono plugs at each end, the Couplers connect to the "loop out" connections on the first VSU and the source input connections on the second. The OCTOPUS C39 Video Couplers are the ideal length for this task, offering a quick and efficient solution to the challenge of neatly and effectively 'daisy-chaining' multiple VSUs.
		C55 Audio Coupler Should an OCTOPUS installation require more than the four main zones offered by a single OCTOPUS MCU300, MCUs may be linked together using the OCTOPUS C55 Audio Couplers in conjunction with a Cat5 patch cable linked to the MCU "Hub Link" sockets. Made from smart, durable black plastic with gold-plated phono plugs at each end, the Couplers connect to the "loop out" connections on the first MCU and the source input connections on the second. The OCTOPUS Audio Couplers are the ideal length for this task, offering a quick and efficient solution to the challenge of neatly and effectively 'daisy-chaining' multiple MCUs.
		PSA 65U-240 Power Supply The OCTOPUS Multi-Room Entertainment System relies on a constant 24V power supply, which is provided by dedicated stand-alone power supply unit, the OCTOPUS PSA65U-240 Power Supply. The PSA65U-240 powers the OCTOPUS MCU300 multi-room hub and up to four attached OCTOPUS WCU310 keypads incorporating over-voltage and auto resetting short circuit protection for exceptional reliability. The PSA65U-240 is essential for powering the MCU300 and is provided separately as two Power Supplies will be required to power 4 main zone keypads and up to 4 sub-zone keypads.
